Ghost Sightings: Proof That Ghosts Are Real?
There have been many ghost sightings throughout history. Just about everyone has claimed to have seen a ghost or at the very least knows someone who has. Rather or not ghost are real is an eternity old debate. From all over the world they have been sightings. Some sightings have been frightening and others comforting depending on the situation.

They are several people who are professional paranormal investigators. They have successfully recorded and documented several true sightings, by using what is called TAPS in their work. TAPS, is basically electronic equipment that helps detect the paranormal. They are other types of people who are not paranormal investigators but what is known as a clairvoyant or a medium. This type of professionals have a psychic ability to communicate with the dead. They are a lot of reality t.v. shows features clairvoyants and mediums. Some of these shows include John Edwards, Lisa Williams and many more. Sylvia Brown is also an acclaimed clairvoyant and medium. They are also a few reality shows about true paranormal investigators. Ghost Hunters debuted in 2004, and before Ghost Hunters they were paranormal television. A lot of reference books written by clairvoyant mediums have also enlightened us all about the various sightings of the dead.

The reality of true sightings varies. They range from a sighting of a deceased loved one or moving into a hunted house. The lady in white who walks the beach every night looking for her true love. The ghost train that never stops. The list goes on and on with people who have claimed to see these occurrences time and time again over several years. These are probably the two must acclaimed ghost sightings through out history. They are also the haunted hotel stories that have been investigated time and time again. With each investigation paranormal activity is found. The hotel that had once been home to a rich family who all perished there through out the years and are now refusing to let go of their home. A ghost story can be considered fact if more than one person has seen the ghost, and different investigators confirm it. Like the situations above. More often than not though investigators find nothing at a supposed haunted scene.

The myths of ghost sightings are everywhere. More common then confirmed sightings. They are the haunted car that drives itself, and the haunted hospital ward. They are the haunted school, and the endless amount of haunted graveyards. The sightings are occurring every day and every one has heard of them. Take for instance this Ohio story, the ghost in old mans cave,Richard Roe, people say was a hermit. He supposedly lived in the cave until one day he accidentally shot himself and supposedly he has haunted the cave ever since. Another Ohio myth is the Moonville lady. This similar myth has a different name and different location however no matter where you are from . The Moonville lady, also known as the lavender lady, was said to be a lady who back in the 1800's while crossing the train trestle was struck and killed by a train. Myth would have that is why year round you are suppose to be able to smell lavender when around the Moonville tunnel. Myths like these throughout history turn up in every state with slightly different names and maybe perhaps a slightly different story but it all sums up the same they are myths passed down from generation to generation with out concrete evidence they ever existed.

True paranormal investigators, and clairvoyant a like will tell you most cases run cold. They may never be concrete evidence of some sightings. It doesn't mean all sightings are made up. It simply means without that piece of concrete evidence we, will not believe what we can not see. Not being able to believe in what we can not see and concrete evidence makes all the difference between real sightings and myths.
